Not at all! Some of my favorite portraits are of dogs standing up. And rest assured, I have a DEEP well of unique sounds and tasty treats to grab their attention-even if it's just for a split second while I capture each image.
Yes! Absolutely! You'll never know the leash was there after I edit your images to perfection.
Currently, studio sessions are held at my spacious indoor studio at 70 Acre Wood, just 25 miles east of Rochester, MN. With at least two setups always ready and plenty of additional options (plus a little extra surprise!), we’ve got everything covered. And here’s some exciting news—I’m working on bringing the studio to you with in-home sessions. Stay tuned!
I like to begin by giving your furry friend the grand tour of the studio, letting them explore to their heart's content (including all the essential sniffing – even my camera gear). After that, it's treat o'clock to acclimate them to the sound of the camera flash. We'll start at a comfortable distance from the flash for the initial "pop," and each time, a treat follows promptly. We'll repeat this process, gradually moving closer to the flash with each round. It's all about desensitizing your pup to the flash, ensuring they're camera-ready and comfortable.
Short answer: nope
But, you'll get the best of both worlds. You'll get the matching web-sized file for any artwork that you purchase. These are best for sharing online and printing up to an 8x10.
YES! Cats!! I love cats! I have a wealth of cat toys, catnip spray, feathers...you name it!
Studio sessions are flexible since we’re not relying on sunlight, giving us more control over timing. They’re typically scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
