Primitive Reed Diffuser

Why: Not only do these diffusers smell amazing, they have the best names (like Flannel, Grandma’s Kitchen, Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow)! My personal favorite is Mulled Cider. You can order online or head over on a weekend, Nov. 26-Dec. 19.

Why: All I have to say is, YUM! I tested out all the mixes at Thursdays Downtown this past summer. Dani White is the creator behind the mixes and owns Pooches and Palomas in Rochester, where she is also a dog trainer.

Why: When I first walked in, I felt like I was in a lodge. It was so warm & inviting—I wanted to see if I could book a room! They have an amazing facility with fantastic services & acres upon acres for training. Their slogan is: “Where your best friend is part of our family.” I couldn’t agree more. Fireside Pet Lodge is located just a few miles from my outdoor studio—in country terms, that means we’re practically neighbors!

Acrylic Pet Portraits
From: Amy Chalks A Lot (Rochester, MN)
Why: Okay, these are just pure fun! Amy made me 3 signs and added my late dog, Sadie. She makes portraits of dogs as well as other signs. Have you been to the restaurant, Forager, in Rochester? Amy is the master behind all those chalkboards. Her work is amazing!

The Most Fun Pig Toy Ever

Why: Okay, this pig is one of my secret weapons-It helps me capture those awesome dog expressions/head tilts. They go nuts for this & I always let them play with it if they want. The pigs come in a variety of colors.

Why: I was recently at a Women’s Weekend event in my hometown & came across this. I fell in love right away (I mean, look at that dog!). Each rock is hand-picked to create a truly unique piece of artrock, I mean artwork.

Why: Does your dog like to chase? You’ll want to grab yourself this fleet-braided flirt pole. It comes in 3 color variations & 2 different lengths. I picked mine up at Thursdays Downtown this past summer.

Custom Art

Why: Sejal’s artistry skills are so amazing! Not only are her dog portraits extremely unique (that bulldog is made out of paper!!), she also does a variety of other artwork. You can find the bulldog at home at the restaurant Cameo at the Castle in downtown Rochester, MN. She’s also the designer of the Pooches & Palomas logo (shown above).
